(BEDFORD) - Batton down the hatches and tie down the storm doors, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area from 7:00pm this evening going through 7:00am tomorrow morning.

The affected area, which includes Lawrence, Monroe, Jackson, Brown, Greene, Jennings, Bartholomew and Morgan Counties, and the Cities of Bedford, Bloomington, Columbus and Seymour, calls for consistent winds around 35 miles per hour and gusts topping 50 miles per hour.

The winds are being caused by a low-pressure system combining with a strong cold front moving through the area.

Additionally, we're looking at those winds combining with steady rain this afternoon, and possibly some rumblings of thunder.

Finally, the boil order for North Lawrence Water customers along Anderson Lane, Wallner Quarry Road and Mount Pleasant Road continues until further notice.
