(BLOOMINGTON) - Two major job announcements for Central Indiana.

The first will bring 200 new jobs to Greenfield. Freije Treatment Systems makes water softening systems. The goal is to have all the new jobs by 2010 and is part of a major expansion for the company.

Five-hundred new jobs are on the way to Columbus as well. Governor Mitch Daniels says Cummins Engine Company will add 500 new jobs to its corporate headquarters.

Daniels says both announcements are steps forward for Indiana's economy. Daniels admits he is concerned about a recession, but says the state has outpaced the Midwest in terms of job growth.
