(UNDATED) - Six state lawmakers have taken either Indiana or Purdue University up on the offer for free bowl tickets and hotel rooms.

Representatives Lawrence Buell from Indy, Ralph Foley from Martinsville and Eric Koch of Bedford are going to the game against Oklahoma State on IU's dime.

Purdue's paying for Representatives Sheila Klinker of Lafayett, Richard McClain of Logansport and Trent Van Haaften of Mount Vernon - for the game against Central Michigan.

Some critics believe accepting the tickets is a conflict of interest - because both institutions rely on legislative support for budgets. All 150 legislators were offered the tickets.

Governor Mitch Daniels will also free tickets for the IU game. He's flying on a chartered flight with Indiana President Michael McRobbie.
