Officers, IU Workers Quickly Recover Stolen IU Truck
(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police and Indiana University officers were able to quickly recover a stolen university truck yesterday.
IUPD Capt. Jerry Minger says a Ford F-350 was left by an IU worker open and running near the intersection of Woodlawn and Atwater, and when he returned to it, it was gone.
As police were en route to the scene, another IU worker reported seeing the stolen truck, and was able to keep an eye on it, reporting location updates by radio to officers.
Officers eventually stopped the truck on northbound SR-37 and arrested the alleged thief, Matthew Tedesco, and took him into custody.
No injuries or damage were reported. Tedesco is reported to not be a university student.
