(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County officially has a new recorder to replace the recently promoted Myron Rainey.

On January 1st, Julie Blackwell-Chase will move from being Lawrence County Clerk to being Bedford City Clerk-Treasurer, Myron Rainey will go from Lawrence County Recorder to take over Chase's Clerk desk, and now the Lawrence County Republicans have selected Jessica Allen to take over Rainey's spot as Recorder.

Rainey and Allen will hold on to their spots through the end of their predecessor's term, which ends for both at the end of 2008.

Allen has served previously as first deputy at the Recorder's office, which is one of the main reasons Republican Party Chariman Dan Bortner said she was selected to take over.

Myron Rainey, in addition to his clerk duties at the Lawrence County courthouse, will continue announcing BNL Stars sports for 1340 AM WBIW.
