(BLOOMINGTON) - In another instance of people not being careful about what they post on their social networking websites, an Indiana University student was arrested over the weekend after police matched his likeness on a surveillance video to images of himself on his Facebook.com account.

21-year-old Michael Gorenstein is preliminarily charged with battery resulting in bodily injury after he allegedly got into a scuffle at Kilroy's in Bloomington.

Gorenstein's alleged victim was taken to Bloomington Hospital after the November 1st altercation and treated for a broken vertebra, injuries to his nose, and was given at least 17 stitches.

The victim alleges the attack was unprovoked, and nobody at the bar knew much of anything about Gorenstein.

After Kilroy's provided the security tape to Bloomington police, officers were able to confirm his identity with his Facebook images.

Gorenstein was arrested and transported to Monroe County jail.
