(BROWNSTOWN) - The Brownstown Exchange Club honored Master Trooper Martin Mead of State Police Seymour as Jackson County Officer of the Year.

Trooper Mead has been spending most of his time and efforts lately focusing on dismantling clandestine methamphetamine labs.

Mead has also maintained certifications in Clandestine Lab Site and Safety, and in Motor Carrier Safety.

Lieutenant Davis of State Police Seymour says Mead is one of the hardest working troopers at the Seymour post and is proud of his work.
