Jewish IU Student Sues Assailants Using Anti-Semitic Slurs
(BLOOMINGTON) - A Jewish Indiana University student has filed a $28 million lawsuit against 6 former IU students.
IU senior Scott Gray alleges the men he is suing attacked him making anti-Semitic comments in February 2006.
It wasn't until a second assault that following May that Gray decided to put the screws to his attackers, suing former students Brian Pennington, Ross Parker, Patrick Vallely, James Teets, Dane Pinter and Morm McOlsen III.
Pennington was found guilty by the IU Ethics Board of ethics violations, Gray was accused of the same but cleared.
Due to Pennington's violation, he was suspended for 1 academic year. But now that that's over, gray is suing each student for $4 million each, alleging charges of assault, battery, unlawful restraint, intentional infliction of emotional distress and punitive damages.
No trial date has been announced as of yet.
