Hunters Invited To Spring Mill For Deer Herd Thinning
Last updated on Monday, November 26, 2007
(MITCHELL) - Spring Mill State Park will be open to hunters this week.
About 60 hunters will go after thinning the park's deer herd. It's part of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources' ongoing program to control the deer population, as well as the damage the animals do to the park's foliage.
Hunters will go to work Monday and Tuesday.
