(GREENE COUNTY) - A Bloomfield man was killed yesterday morning in a head-on collision on SR-45 that may involve alcohol.

Greene County Sheriff's officials say 27-year-old Tristan Hamblin of Shoals, Indiana was driving his GMC pickup north on SR-45 near County Road 250 South when he says he swerved to miss a deer, overcorrected and struck a Honda Civic hatchback head-on.

The Civic driver, 53-year-old Michael Robison of Bloomfield, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive internal injuries by Greene County Coroner Brian Gainey.

Hamblin refused to submit to a blood alcohol test at the scene, and was arrested for refusal involving serious personal injury or death in an accident.

The Lawrence County Superior Court II issued a warrant for a blood draw at Bedford Regional Medical Center, where Hamblin is being treated, and results are still pending.
