Wave-Through Causes Accident Injuring 1

(BEDFORD) - An Oolitic woman was injured in a wreck that resulted from a communication error.
71-year-old Jesse McClure of Salem was eastbound on 16th Street trying to turn left on to James Avenue.
A vehicle in the opposite oncoming lane motioned for him to make the turn, allowing him to pass through.
McClure pulled out for the turn but didn't see 17-year-old Amy Jones of Oolitic coming west in the next lane.
McClure pulled out in front of Jones, causing Jones to clip him almost head on. Jones said she could not avoid the collision.
As a result, Jones complained of pain in her back, no citations are listed as having been issued.
