(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana law student Jesse Sneed, who shut down a section of Bloomington on Tuesday when he allegedly fired his assault rifles off his balcony, has pleaded not guilty to criminal recklessness charges yesterday.

Residents and police heard several short bursts of gunfire that allegedly came from Sneed's balcony early Tuesday morning which ultimately resulted in his being arrested for criminal recklessness with a weapon, when he tried to exit the area upon arrival of police.

Police are still not clear on his motives for the shooting, and nobody was injured in any way, however, they did identify a potential target.

Beneath the balcony, police found a copy of a law textbook entitled Real Estate Transfer, Finance and Development, with 2 bullet holes in it.
