Perry County Couple Charged With Growing Marijuana

(BRISTOW) - An older Perry County couple has been arrested on charges relating to a marijuana cultivating operation in Bristow.

After several months of investigating, state police Jasper served a search warrant yesterday on 62-year-old David Irving and 59-year-old Gretchen Irving's Bristow residence.

State police allege finding 32 marijuana plants outside, and more drying inside the home. All in all, more than 10 pounds of grass were seized, holding a street value of more than $100,000.

The Irvings are in Perry County jail charged with felony counts of cultivating marijuana over 10 pounds, possessing marijuana over 10 pounds, and dealing marijuana over 10 pounds.
