(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was injured in a head-on wreck on Cassidy Lane and transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Lawrence County officials say 66-year-old Ben Bonotto was coming around a curve southbound on Cassidy Lane when he met 16-year-old Christopher Tolbert head-on. Tolbert's pickup when off the east edge of Cassidy, while Benotto's SUV went off the west side, into an embankment, trapping him.

Tolbert complained of knee and chin pain, and his passenger, 18-year-old Jack Triplett, Jr. of Huron had cuts on his face. Both were taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle.

Benotto had to be extricated from his SUV by Bedford and Marion fire responders, suffered multiple fractures to his left arm and leg, and was taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
