(BLOOMINGTON) - Michael McRobbie was officially inaugurated as Indiana University’s 18th president Thursday, following his first hundred days in office.
IU Foundation President Curt Simic presided over the ceremony, which was attended by an array of dignitaries including Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman, each of IU's five living former presidents, and the current presidents of universities from as far away as South Korea and as nearby as West Lafayette.
McRobbie says he will work to maintain the school's reputation as an institution committed to excellence in education and research.
