(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man and his passenger are injured after trying to avoid hitting a deer.
Lawrence County reports say 19-year-old Nathan Fields of Bedford was traveling on Highway 50, less than a mile east of SR-60, when he says he thinks he saw a deer.
Fields swerved to try and miss the deer, but left the north side of the roadway, went into a ditch, hit a driveway and flipped his Chevy pickup. Fields complained of pain in his leg while his passenger, 20-year-old Kreigh Clark, suffered a potential fracture to his lower leg.
