(MITCHELL) - The 61st annual Persimmon Festival got underway in Mitchell Saturday.
Events started off with the preliminary round of the Mini-Miss, Little-Miss and Junior-Miss Persimmon pageants as well as the Candlelight Tour of Spring Mill State Park held by the Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority.
Today, the carnival kicks off at 5:00PM tonight and don't miss the lasagna dinner at the 7th St. food tent.
