Mitchell To Close Downtown Streets Friday Night For Festival

(MITCHELL) - The 61st annual Persimmon Festival kicks off this Saturday, September 22nd, in downtown Mitchell.
Mitchell city officials will start closing downtown streets Friday night at 11:00PM for the event, and will keep them closed until 2:00PM, Monday September 30th.
Events will include the road rally, the Persimmon Queen Pageant, the carnival in the downtown streets, and, of course, tastings of everything persimmon.
