(SPICE VALLEY) - A 62-year-old woman from Loogootee is hospitalized after her vehicle flipped end over end.
Lawrence County sheriff's reports say Linda Winegar was traveling westbound on US-50 when she reportedly blacked out at the top of a hill, about a half mile east of Kozy Fireplace Rd. in Spice Valley.
She ran off the north side of the road and went into a drainage ditch. Winegar then struck the embankment of an intersecting ditch, flipping her small Chevy end-over-end. She then landed on the driver's side and rolled over again, landing upright.
According to the report, she reported pain in her hip and back and said the blackout may have been caused by a miniature stroke.
Emergency crews transported Winegar to Dunn Memorial Hospital.
