(MARTIN COUNTY) - The Indiana department of transportation is closing a section of County Road 55 in Martin County to lay a section of drain pipe under the road near Hindostan Falls State Fishing Area.

INDOT says the section of CR-55, from 0.6 to 1 mile south of SR-550, will be closed down beginning Monday, October 1st, and should remain closed until at least late December. Weather permitting; INDOT hopes to have the work done by then.

INDOT says anglers can still access the boat ramp north of the falls, however, access to the picnic area and flat rock will be closed down.
