Bloomington Petting Zoo Concerned After Vandalism
(BLOOMINGTON) - The owners of a small petting zoo in Bloomington are concerned about animal safety after several acts of vandalism.
The Barnyard Friends Petting Zoo is home to peacocks, horses, donkeys, a camel and several other animals. The zoo, however, has been the victim of several acts of vandalism and suspicious animal deaths over the last couple of years.
In 2005, a skunk and two goats were found dead. Last year, someone cut a horse's mane, a sheep and two peacocks were found dead, and other animals were released from their pens.
Police still don't have any leads.
