(BLOOMINGTON) - In a follow-up to a story from Monday, Monroe County Sheriffs have released further information about the bodies found in drums in rural Bloomington over the weekend.

On Friday, 51-year-old Jerry Pelfree was taken into custody on a preliminary count of murder after 2 bodies were found on his remote property sealed in large steel drums.

The bodies were tentatively identified as Everett L. Shaw, and Douglas Brown, Jr.

According to recently released court papers, the entire incident revolved around a stolen Gator, an all-terrain vehicle made by John Deere. Additionally, one of the victims is reported to have been dating Pelfree's daughter at the time.

According to court papers, an informant told officials Pelfree allegedly shot both victims in the head with a .22 caliber rifle. When both victims were found, according to police, they were little more than bones with hair and small bits of flesh left on them.

Pelfree, the informant, and both victims are reported to have been involved in the theft of the ATV, which was recovered before the shootings apparently occurred.
