United Way Announces 400K Goal For Lawrence, Orange Counties
Last updated on Monday, August 27, 2007
(BEDFORD) - The United Way of Lawrence County has announced a fund-raising goal of $400,000 on Friday.
Board President Brady Mullis has stated the goal is "ambitious but attainable." The United Way, which supports 15 organizations in Lawrence and Orange Counties, says that this level of funding is what they need.
Campaign Co-Chair Shannon Barger said the charity is facing increasing needs due to the loss of jobs from down-sizing and local factory shut-downs.
