(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman complained of neck pain following an accident on U.S. Hwy. 50 near Shawswick School Road.

Lawrence County Police report that 33-year-old Jennifer Martin was hit from behind by 19-year-old Steven Gillespie, of Heltonville, when his brakes apparently failed.

Martin was waiting for a school bus that was letting out children when she was rear ended by Gillespie. Martin was taken by ambulance to Dunn Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Police say Gillespie was able to move his car and the brakes seemed to be working then. No one was cited in the incident.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
