Practicing Exorcist Pleads Not-Guilty
(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man accused in an exorcism case is defending himself.
22-year-old Eddie Uyesugi has told a Monroe County judge he's not-guilty of confinement and battery. Uyesugi is accused of hurting a 14-year-old autistic boy in May, while trying to perform an exorcism on him.
According to the probable cause, he hit the boy and shoved his hands down the boys throat - attempting to cast out demons.
If Uyesugi is found guilty he could face up to nine years in prison, an pay up to $15,000 in fines.
