(ORANGE COUNTY) - The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is reporting there are 39 registered sex offenders who either live or work in the county, including 22 who were once convicted of child molestation and one convicted rapist.

Additionally, a new law in the State of Indiana went into effect July 1st requiring all violent offenders to register with the sheriff's department as well.

The Orange County Sheriff reminds all those residents to whom these laws apply to make sure they are registered, and asks those who want more information to visit their website at www.insor.org.
