(OOLITIC) - Two people walked away from an accident reportedly without a scratch after their vehicles smashed into each other at the State Road 37 and Main Street intersection in Oolitic.

Police report 20-year-old Lydia Morfey, of Bedford, was attempting to turn onto Main Street thinking she had a green light. 23-year-old Naomi Hamke, of Bloomington, was heading south on State Road 37 and was proceeding through the intersection when her vehicle struck Morfey's vehicle.

Both cars ended up spinning off the roadway. A street sign and post were damaged in the accident.

Dunn Memorial Ambulance Service and the Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Police estimate damage to both vehicles amounted to nearly $25,000.
