Mitchell Woman Charged With Theft

(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was arrested by police after she was spotted taking some clothes from an outside rack at the Dollar General store in Mitchell.
Police report that a store employee saw 29-year-old Destiny Parton come into the store, but then left without paying for the merchandise.
Mitchell police found Parton at her Persimmon Park Apartment and questioned her about the theft.
Parton was transported to the Lawrence County Jail and booked on theft charges and given a $500 cash bond. She is awaiting her first court appearance.
