Walk, Stroll, Run, Roll At Spring Mill State Park
(BEDFORD) - Walks Across Indiana are being planned for events through the summer and fall.
InShape Indiana, Purdue Extension and County Health Department across Indiana are working together to make the state a more healthy community.
Locally, the event will be held at Spring Mill State Park in October. Lawrence County Consumer and Family Science Educator Glenda DeFord and Lawrence County Public Health Coordinator Allison Moore are heading what is being called "Walk, Stroll, Run, Roll."
They are planning a trek to include all family members around Spring Mill State Park. The walk will be about 3 miles. Group organizers have invited Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman to participate in the walk.
More sponsors are needed and DeFord and Moore say if you are interested to call them at the Purdue Extension office in Bedford.
