New Rates For County Health Insurance

(BEDFORD) - Employees of Lawrence County will see their health insurance rates change slightly.

The Lawrence County Commissioners spent a few months examining three vendors interested in covering the county workers with a new health coverage.

Commissioner Dave Flynn reported that they would continue with Anthem Insurance through the Parker Group of Bedford.

Flynn says deductibles will be a bit higher and co-pays would change, but the insurance carrier would remain the same.

The new rates will begin in a little over a month on August 1st.
