(BEDFORD) - Eight people were arrested after police were called to break up a fight at an apartment complex.

Bedford Police Department Major Dennis Parsley says police were called to remove a man and his girlfriend who were fighting at the Shady Brooks Apartments on 30th Street.

When police arrived they found several drug items including a rolling device. Most of those arrested were from Bedford, one from Oolitic, another from Orleans.

41-year-old Tesa Bunch and 22-year-old Justin Bunch received the strongest charges, those including possession of marijuana over 30 grams, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.

The other individuals received charges of visiting a common nuisance. All were taken to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and incarcerated.

A teen at the scene was released to her parents.
