Festival Strawberry Shortcakes On Sale Friday
(BEDFORD) - In just a few days the 2007 Limestone Heritage Festival will begin selling their strawberry shortcakes at the gazebo in the Harp Commons on the square in Bedford.
Festival member Penny May says strawberry shortcake is a popular dessert. Sales of the desserts will start Friday morning.
The beautiful barrel contest winner will also be announced on Friday. The Rotary Fish Fry will also be held Friday afternoon from 4:30PM to 7:00PM at the Thornton Park Pavilion.
The highlight of the Festival is the Limestone Heritage Festival Parade on Wednesday, July 4th. The parade will start at 11:30AM with the flyover of at least one Blackhawk helicopter.
Coordinator Susan Gales says they are still looking for more parade entrants. If you are interested in participating, contact Gales at the Bedford Federal Savings Bank.
