U.S. Flag Flown In Iraq Given To NLCS
(BEDFORD) - A U.S. flag flown at United States Headquarters of the Multi-National Corps in Iraq has been given to the North Lawrence Community Schools.
The flag flew at one of Suddam Hussein's former palaces.
Superintendent Dennis Turner says the flag was given by Needmore High School graduate Lt. Col. Paula Turner-Nobles.
Turner says the flag will be flown at the NLCS Administration Building beginning on Memorial Day and then it will be given to the Social Studies Department to display in their classroom.
