(BEDFORD) - Bedford City Utility workers continue to flush fire hydrants today.

On this Friday, hydrants will be flushed from 8th and "O" Streets west to "X" Street, north to 2nd and "S" Streets, Heltonville Road, Mt. Pleasant Road and Boyd Lane.

Workers will finish the flushings on Sunday from 16th and "P" Streets, 17th south to 30th Streets, west of "M" Street, Eastlake Drive, Crawford Addition, Brook Knoll and Saddle Barn Addition.

Bedford City Utilities customers will need to check their water at this time. Water can become muddy and/or rusty and can stain laundry.

If the water is discolored, let your cold faucets run for a period of time to clear it up.

Fire hydrants will be flushed unless the weather becomes stormy.
