Police Investigate HWY 50 Accident

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are investigating an accident on Hwy. 50 near the Plaza Motel east of Bedford.

Police say 47-year-old Kenneth Puckett, of Bedford, drove his vehicle left of center, then off the roadway.

The vehicle traveled along the roadway in the grass and hit a utility pole, breaking the guide wire.

Puckett's vehicle continued on and hit a culvert. It then became airborne, flipped and came to rest on its side.

Puckett was taken to the hospital with pain to his entire body.

A blood test was taken to determine his blood alcohol level during the time of the accident.
