(PARIS CROSSING) - Police arrested a Seymour man after checking in on another man at his Paris Crossing residence.
Indiana State Police, along with the Jennings County Sheriff's Department and Probation Department and the Seymour K-9 went to the home of James Bratcher. Instead they found 33-year-old James Moffatt, Jr., there.
Moffatt was wanted out of Jackson County for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Moffatt tried to run from police but was quickly apprehended. He was also found to be in possession of a stolen ATV.
Moffatt was then arrested and additional charged with possession of stolen property and resisting law enforcement.
