Bedford Overtime Ordinance Changed
(BEDFORD) - Overtime pay for city employees was discussed yesterday at the Bedford City Council meeting.
According to City Attorney Greg Pittman an exit audit from the State Board of Accounts found the current ordinance was not being followed as written. Pittman says that they are not in violation of the ordinance, rather, the procedure they use is different from the written regulation.
Pittman wrote two versions for the board to decide on. Two votes were passed on allowing time worked to include paid vacations, sick days and holidays. A third and final passage will be voted on in next month board meeting.
