(BEDFORD) - Bedford City Utility workers continue to flush fire hydrants this week.

Today hydrants will be flushed at 17th and "L" Streets East, South to 27th Street, Rainbow Hills, Heritage Meadows and Broadview Addition.

Bedford City Utilities customers need to check their water as it can be muddy or rusty and can stain laundry. If the water does become discolored, let the cold faucets run for a short period and it should clear up.

Fire hydrants will be flushed around the Bedford area for the remainder of the week. If the weather turns rainy, the flushes will be canceled.
