(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County History Festival was held over the weekend with many highlights including a parade, vintage baseball game and battle reenactments.

A special program with Iranian hostage Don Shearer and USS Indianapolis survivor Jim O'Donnell was held at the Stalker Gymnasium.

Shearer spoke about conditions in Iran while incarcerated. O'Donnell said the USS Indianapolis was the worst naval disaster in U.S. history.

Lawrence County History Festival Norm Taylor says the perfect weather helped with the large crowd that came to the event.
