(BEDFORD) - Two teenagers were hurt when an auto crashed into a bridge culvert on Henderson Creek Road near Bedford.
20-year-old David Rife, of Heltonville, was driving the auto and 16-year-old Sarah Sego, of Oolitic, and 16-year-old Amanda Sego, of Bloomington, were passengers.
Police say the accident was not reported until hours later. Police discovered the accident scene and found that the auto had run over a small raised bridge culvert and ran off the roadway. The car overcorrected and ran off the road again and hit a tree.
Both girls were taken to the hospital and treated for their wounds.
Rife admitted to going too fast. He was charged with unsafe speed.
