Two Columbus Natives Headed To Iraq
(COLUMBUS) - Two Columbus, Indiana leaders will head to the Middle East in 2008 as members of the Indiana National Guard’s 76th Brigade.
The president of the Columbus Economic Development Board, Corey Carr, is a colonel in the brigade. One of his lieutenants is Kent Anderson, who serves as the director of the city's Metropolitan Planning Organization.
About 3,400 soldiers of the 76th Brigade were told this week that they would be among 13,000 troops from four states going to Iraq.
