Springville Man Dies After Hitting Two Gas Tanks
(SPRINGVILLE) - An accident near Springville killed 23-year-old Justin McDowell, of Springville, Tuesday afternoon.
Lawrence County police say McDowell's vehicle slipped off the roadway, and then came back on the roadway. McDowell over corrected the auto and then lost control.
The truck began sliding sideways and went back off the road, striking a trailer/head chute at the Armstrong Farm Company. McDowell's vehicle continued on, striking a building.
The vehicle spun around and hit a parked auto and two gas tanks before coming to stop. McDowell was thrown from the truck approximately 30 feet.
McDowell was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner John Sherill. The Perry Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene to assist.
Police continue to investigate.
