Last updated on Thursday, April 19, 2007
(LOOGOOTEE) - Four people are recovering from injuries suffered when a car slammed into a Loogootee nursing home.
One man, 83-year old Albert Gilbert, is still in the hospital, while three others were treated and released.
Police say 71-year old Carroll Ledgerwood mistook his car's accelerator for the brake, causing the vehicle to jump the curb and ram the building. Gilbert was sitting on a porch swing when the car hit him and forced him through a wall.
