Bedford Machine and Tool Company Receives Tax Abatement Resolution

(BEDFORD) - A public hearing was held at the Bedford City Council meeting Tuesday night.
A resolution was passed to allow Bedford Machine and Tool Company a tax abatement. A 15% or $100,000 cap was included in the resolution.
Once approved by the council, half of the new tax will go to the Lawrence County Growth Council with the other half for the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association.
Company officials say a new machine has been added to the business. Six more workers will be added bringing the total to 76 employees for the Bedford Machine and Tool Company.
