Plane Crashes Near Home In Scott County

(AUSTIN) - In an incident reminiscent of the plane crash in Bedford has occurred near Austin in Scott County.
A plane crashed just after takeoff near a home and the plane caught on fire.
Danny and Barbara Burns were pulled from the wreckage and taken by Stat Flight Air Ambulance to University Hospital in Louisville. Both are listed in stable condition.
Witnesses say the plane crashed near the home after trying to take off at a private airstrip about a mile away.
The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction team is working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the State Fire Marshall's Office.
