(AUSTIN) - A southern Indiana couple remains hospitalized after being pulled from the wreckage of a small plane.
Investigators say Danny and Barbara Burns had just taken off from a private airstrip near Austin in Scott County when their plane clipped a tree and crashed into the porch of a home. They remain in stable condition at University Hospital in Louisville.
Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office have begun examining the crash scene to determine the exact cause of the accident. The National Transportation Safety Board will then receive the completed report once a determination has been made.
