Former Columbus Mayor Dies

(COLUMBUS) - A former mayor of Columbus, Indiana and veteran football coach has died.
Max Andress passed away on Tuesday. He served two terms as mayor from 1971 to 1979.
Andress also served as football coach at Columbus High School for 21 years. His teams won six South Central Conference Championships, and he was named the league's coach of the year five times.
He was the first person elected to the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1976.
