(BEDFORD) - The field is set for the May Primary election in Lawrence County.
Friday was the last day candidates could file for office candidacy. Seven people on both the Republican and Democratic sides are vying for the mayor of Bedford. The race for Mitchell mayor has six candidates with three for each party.
Twenty other people have their names listed to fill seats in the City Council and Clerk/Treasurer's offices.
The primary will be Tuesday, May 8th with the polls open from 6:00AM to 6:00PM. Join us for the latest election updates right after the polls close on 1340 AM WBIW.
