Police Chief Suggests Street Lights

(BEDFORD) - Requests for street lights have been examined by Bedford Police Chief Dave Jarrard.

A street light for 32nd and "W" Streets was approved, one at 22nd and "H" Streets was not. Jarrard says street lights are used for traffic safety not as a night light.

Also, a request for School Crossing signs at St. Vincent de Paul School was denied, however, Jarrard checked crossing at the other six schools and suggested that three do need new signs. The board will examine to request at a later meeting.
