Martinsville Teacher Accused Of Sexual Charges

(MARTINSVILLE) - A Martinsville high school teacher has resigned amid charges of child seduction.
Cynthia Marie Rynard has been ordered to stay away from the school, pending her trial for allegedly performing oral sex on a 17-year-old student in exchange for raising his grade.
Rynard turned herself in on Wednesday and resigned from her job as an English teacher on Friday. She faces a class "D" felony charge, which carries a penalty of six months to three years in jail.
